Cabela’s Recalls Food Dehydrators Due to Fire Hazard
Cabela’s has recalled food dehydrators that were sold in its stores and on Cabelas.com from August 2016 through September 2016. Due to defective wiring, the dehydrators can become extremely hot posing a risk of fire. This recall affects about 3,000 stainless steel dehydrators with model numbers 541549 on the 80 liter unit and 541650 on the 160 liter unit.
To date, Cabela’s has received 9 reports that these products have malfunctioned due to the defective wiring.
